From the outset of the Torch 3.0 Road shoe design process, our goal was to create a performance offering as feature-packed as any top-end shoe. The challenge, however, was pulling this off at a palatable price. In order to achieve this, we utilized three strategically placed materials on the uppers that are welded together—TPU and mesh in the front and synthetic leather in the rear. This makes for a more comfortable and supportive front of the shoe. A stiff rear and heel cup, meanwhile, lock down your heel and keep all of your watts going into the pedals as efficiently as possible. This refined upper is combined with our legendary FACT carbon fiber sole to further ensure an efficient power transfer. Finally, we topped the Torch 3.0 off with two Boa S2-SV Snap dials for zonal closure, and a precise fit that leads to all-day comfort. - Body Geometry sole construction and footbeds are ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to boost power, increase efficiency, and reduce chance of injury by optimizing hip, knee, and foot alignment. - FACT carbon composite sole and torsion box construction is directionally rigid for outstanding power transfer: Stiffness Index 8.5. - Dual Boa S2-SV Snap dial closure for on-the-fly micro-adjustment, backed by the Boa Lifetime Guarantee. - Mesh, TPU, and synthetic layer upper are placed in specific zones for comfort and lock-down, and are thermobonded for a superior fit. - Standard Fit for support and all-day comfort. - Three-bolt cleat pattern fits all major road pedals. - Approximate weight: 248g (1/2 pair, Size 42)

The Politex material is constructed of several overlapping layers with different physical and mechanical properties. This compacted PVC is then coupled to two fabrics (knitted fabric and felt) that is then film dyed for long-lasting color retention. Politex offers strong resistance to rips, lacerations, stretching and fading. Politex is made in strict compliance with European regulations and is considered a "green” product. The Soft Instep 3 Closure System is a wide, anatomically curved strap combined with a soft, thermo-formed EVA pad that distributes pressure evenly over the instep area. The Soft Instep Closure System is adjustable from both sides to perfectly center the EVA pad over a high or low instep. The system eliminates the need for the High Instep Extender. The Soft Instep Closure System is replaceable. Sidi's Techno-3 System dials in fit along the entire length of the shoe, adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a customized fit. Sidi's famously reliable and replaceable closures are improved by an all-new proprietary Sidi Wire material that is completely non-binding for intuitive and effortless on-the-fly adjustments. Like most Sidi small parts, the Techno-3 Buckle is serviceable and replaceable. The MTB RS17 SOLE consists of a nylon and PU blend. This sole is lighter than the traditional competition sole and has been updated with a more aggressive tread pattern and a replaceable toe tread insert. The reinforced heel keeps the foot in an optimal position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure. - Wide EE-EEE width last for wider fit.

The CX242 is a culmination of all of our experience, advanced materials, and shoe making techniques to make a shoe that offers the best fitting solution for hard to fit foot types. Made with a heat moldable heel counter and an uniquely designed upper that has enough adjustability to accommodate feet with any instep height or foot volume without sacrificing comfort. The CX242 was designed for those riders with foot issues such as bunions, deformation or extremely narrow feet who need a shoe that will not beat their feet up, giving the rider the endurance they need to stay on the bike. The upper has separated panels that allow for fine tuning the pressure and fit which also allows the upper to conform around sensitive and painful spots on the foot without the same level of constraint that is felt in traditional shoe uppers. CX/TX Competition Last – With a profile specifically designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure, our Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last. The main differences include increased toe pitch & heel lift, a tighter heel & a slightly wider ball girth to allow the foot to expand under high pedaling pressures. Lake Competition 100% Carbon Fiber Sole. Available in 3 hole cleat pattern. A 100% carbon fiber sole that creates a comfortable, lightweight and classy package. Fullgrain leather (White/Black and Black/Silver) or Clarino Microfiber (Matte Grey/Black and Reflective Silver/Grey) and NuFoam lining with Carbon fiber support panels, which help to maintain a secure fit while adding foot stability. The upper is segmented into 6 independent zones for the most flexible fit to accommodate narrow or wide feet as well as high instep and low instep feet. The moldable heel counter doubles the heel hold for a secure fit. Carbitex support panels offer additional support to enhance the closure. Dual Side mounted Push/Pull Li2 BOA Fit System with releasable lace guides.

The CX302 is the evolution in light weight climbing shoe that feels unbelievably light on the foot without sacrificing comfort, secure fit and power transfer. Utilizing Clarino microfiber, dual BOA Li2 dial and Lake's Handmade CFC 3K carbon fiber sole, you have a cycling slipper that the competition can get nowhere close to that weighs an amazing 195grams in size 44 (Not including insole). CX/TX Race Last– Featuring a slightly narrower toe box & tighter heel than the Competition last and less overall volume than the Sport last. Designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure and a slimmer fit. The wide version offers 15mm of additional volume at the ball of the foot over the standard width last. Lake Race 100% Carbon Fiber Sole. Available in 3-hole cleat pattern. CX302 utilizes Lake's patent double sole system. The inner sole is a semi flexible carbon fiber platform that allows the foot to have some flexibility at the ball of the foot where the foot tends to swell and typically hot spots or numbness would occur. The inner sole is suspended over the outer rigid carbon sole. This system enables us to use an extremely stiff carbon outsole without sacrificing riding comfort. The Trailcross range was built from the ground up, starting with the Five Ten dotted outsole with the addition of a recessed cleat to clip into compatible pedals. This was then refined with hiking in mind, bringing the additional ridged grip to the toe and heel. The Trailcross Clip-In is a lightweight and breathable shoe. With the need for the shoe to provide all-day comfort but also deliver across the contact points on and off the bike, the mid-sole EVA technology provides the necessary toe flex for hiking, without losing the all-important stiffness. The Trailcross Clip-In utilizes a hook and loop closure for added security and to reduce heel lift. Clip-in pedal users no longer need to compromise when planning their next adventure.
