Why We Make It We build bearings, so we build bottom brackets. The humble threaded bottom bracket is often the first part installed on a new frame, and the last one the rider thinks about during the life of the bike, but the bottom bracket has a direct effect on pedaling efficiency (read: speed). This is where you put your power into the bike. Having the absolute best interface between your effort and your bike’s forward momentum makes your ride better. The Threadfit™ 24 is how we make bikes that take 24mm cranks the best they can be. Why You Want It ThreadFit™ 24 fits 24mm cranks in BSA bottom bracket shells. Our ThreadFit™ 24 bottom bracket is designed and built to be durable, serviceable, and silent. Manufactured to create the most precise interface between your frame’s bottom bracket shell and your cranks, it makes your cranks spin lightly and easily, without interference, for the lifetime of your bike (with a little regular service). King’s legendary, angular-contact bearings, both steel and ceramic, are the best in the industry, and actually get faster over time, as their contact surfaces wear. You want this bottom bracket because it offers super low drag. You want this bottom bracket, because it can be opened, cleaned and repacked for years of faithful service. You want this bottom bracket, because you don’t want to think an awful lot about your bottom bracket. BB30 Bottom Bracket for Shimano MTB BB30 central shells on mountain bikes call for a special threaded bottom bracket when installing Shimano cranks. Our Bottom Bracket threads into itself and holds the bearings outside the bottom bracket to work with Shimano. Our MTB bottom brackets are built with CeramicSpeed Coated bearings and equipped with UFO Long Life Grease for the ultimate in durability and protection in all environments. Technical Data This BB30 Bottom Bracket wotks with cranks that have 24mm thru-axle spindles. CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That represents an average 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. The hardened-steel races feature the CeramicSpeed Balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The CeramicSpeed Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Coated Bearings drop friction further and increase lifespan. The coated races see a 50% drag reduction and an improvement in bearing life of 60%. Performance can be improved by changing the grease. Long Life Grease comes installed, but can be changed for lower drag All Round Grease for lower drag or less messy conditions.

The BB30 bottom bracket allows you to pair 30mm spindle cranks to 42mm inner diameter bottom bracket shells. Cannondale pioneered this standard along with specially-designed cranks and many have found the benefits to them. Road versions have a 68mm width, MTB has 73mm. These are also the bearings you can use to replace bearings in PF30 cups. You have two bearing choices. The first choice is our low drag, long life Standard Bearing, with hardened-steel races and our super-round CeramicSpeed balls. The second choice is our Coated Bearing, which uses those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. BB30 was designed to make the bike lighter: no cups, threading, or redundant metal, plus a lighter, stiffer crank. That's why the crank spindle is 30mm, which was a big jump up from square-taper spindles. CeramicSpeed standard bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. That's thanks to balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. In The Box - 2x bearings - 2x 1mm spacers - 2x 0.5mm spacers - 2x dust covers - O-ring - 10ml syringe of grease - Sticker sheet

BBright is the Cervelo bottom bracket standard found on most of their frames, save the P5. In order to fit Shimano and FSA cranks into this oversized shell, this bottom bracket, complete with CeramicSpeed Bearings, needs to be pressed in. The BBright bottom bracket comes with either CeramicSpeed Standard or Coated Bearings installed. Super smooth, super-round CeramicSpeed Balls contained in hardened-steel races are found on both versions. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making it even smoother and harder, resulting in lower drag and longer life. BBright is similar to BB30, but is wider on the non-drive side. As such, the bottom bracket for running 24mm diameter cranks from Shimano, FSA, and others, is unique. The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Thanks goes to hardened-steel races and CeramicSpeed Balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. These have a frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set, which represents an average 75% drag reduction compared to most BBs. The CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings reduce drag by 50% compared to CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings, and show an improvement in bearing life by 60%. BSA is another way of stating English threading. The initialization comes from Birmingham Small Arms, which made bicycles. English threading on road bikes mean a 68mm wide, 34mm inside diameter shell with reverse threading on the drive side. It's the most common threaded standard employed today. This kit works with 24mm diameter cranks, found on cranks from Shimano, FSA, Rotor, and others. Choose between two bearings for the cups. Standard Bearings have low drag thanks to hardened-steel races and our Ceramic balls. Coated Bearings have those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. 24mm spindles easily fit through the shell and allow for large bearings to be employed in the outside cups. Put more of your energy into forward motion by reducing frictional drag wherever you can. CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. CeramicSpeed balls are 100% smoother and 15% harder than ceramic competition. The bearings last at least 3x longer than other bearings. In The Box: - 2 threaded cups with bearings - 2 dust covers with built-in spacers - Spacer tube - 10mm syringe of All Round Grease - Sticker sheet

BSA is equivalent to English threading. English threading on MTBs mean a 73mm-wide, 34mm-inside-diameter shell with reverse threading on the drive side. It's the most common threaded standard employed today. This kit works with 24mm diameter cranks, such as Shimano, FSA, Rotor, and others. Choose between two bearing types for the cups. Standard Bearings have low drag thanks to hardened-steel races and our Ceramic balls. Coated Bearings have those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. For MTBs, English threading, thanks to history, is pretty much the one threaded standard. It works great. 24mm spindles easily fit through the shell, allow for large bearings to be employed in the outside cups. What's more, they rarely creak and seal up well. Lots of things slow bikes down; bearings shouldn't be among them. CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. The bearings last at least 3x longer than other bearings. Coated bearings have even less drag. These bearings come packed with LongLife Grease, best for muddy conditions. For less drag when riding in cleaner environs, you can coat the bearings with either All Round Grease or lowest drag TT and Track Grease, which is designed for clean conditions. In The Box - 2 threaded cups with bearings - 2 dust covers with built-in spacers - Spacer tube - 10ml syringe of LongLife grease - Sticker sheet
