Brands Cycle and Fitness will be offering a bicycle repair and maintenance course designed specifically for the home mechanic. The course will provide hands-on instruction for brake and shifting adjustments, wheel repair, bearing adjustments and other topics that will keep your bike running smoothly.

The course will be 6 Hours, held over two mornings.

Course to Include:

Day 1: Assemble a brand new mountain bike right out of the box. Learn how to attach and adjust all components including handlebars, stem, seat, derailleurs, v-brakes, and wheel assemblies.

In addition to completing the assembly, we will remove and replace tires and tubes, perform bearing adjustments, remove and replace brake and gear cables, and perform minor wheel truing.

Day 2: During the first hour of night two, we will finish any remaining tasks from night one. Bring in your own bike and tune it up with complete support from the professionals. Ask as many questions as you can. This will be conducted over the remaining two hours of the class.




Registration
Class size will be limited to a maximum of 14 people. Classes will be formed on a first come first served basis.

17/18 Cone Wrench
FR-5 Lockring Tool
HCW-16 Chain Whip/ Pedal Wrench
Flat and Phillips Screwdrivers
SW-7 Spoke wrench

You may choose to add the Park tool SK-1 Home Mechanic Starter Tool Kit with your registration to fulfill all required tools.
Although not required, we highly recommend 'The Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair' to supplement the course.
