It works with no fuss, what more could you want?

    Comments:

I had looked at power meters for a long time, considering all of the options and potential types of power meters. I have been more than pleased with the G3 hub. I feel like the data is reliable, gives me a realistic total power number (while providing me with cadence to boot), and once setup is something that I can simply forget about (the unit, not the numbers, that's the fun part)! I had it laced into a new hoop to match my current wheel set, so now I have a perfectly matched and integrated system. If I want power on another bike, it is so quick and easy to simply swap out a rear wheel. My only regret is that I didn't start training with power sooner!

I bought my first powertap back in 2010. It has been in service, reporting accurate and smooth numbers through 2017.

        Comments:

I've been using 2 different older, wired, Powertap hubs for years. I have one laced to a Mavic Open Pro for training, and one to a Zipp 404 for racing. I'm still using the old wired harness with a Little Yellow Computer and Power Agent software. They are reliable, simple, ... and they just work! Using these products has really tranformed my training. I upgraded to Category 1 after starting to train and race with PT, and have since eased back my road racing and won several years worth of local cyclocross series. My old PT hub sometimes has dropped data issues, but it's not been serviced for over 5 years at thousands of miles per year, and I still get very good training data.

          Comments:

I have this laced to a training wheelset and is (semi) permanently mounted on my trainer. I use it with a training software. The setup is a few hundred dollars cheaper than the fancy smart-trainers. However, it is as accurate and more versatile when I want to ride outside with my PTAP wheelset.

I've been using powertap since they had the yellow hubbcaps, I've just kept upgrading. I use the G3 on rim brakes and ride it and race it for road and cyclocross races and training. Any time I've had a problem, I've had no problem getting great customerservice from them. I've always recommended a powertap hub as a low maintenance, reliable powermeter.

              Comments:

I own two G3 Hubs, one on a carbon set of rims, the other on a bomb proof set of AL, both were expertly handcrafted by the team at Saris/Powertap. Next to my Cycleops indoor trainer, these two wheelsets & hubs are some of the best investments I have ever made as a cyclist. When you find a company that combines outstanding quality, excellent customer service, product affordability and packages all of this with a made in the USA 100% satisfaction guarantee, total no brainer. The product is rock solid in all conditions and in all seasons, if you ever are in need of a recalibration, the Team in Wisconsin has your back. If this is your 1st powermeter purchase like it was for me; you are in luck, this just may be the last one you will ever need, the G3 is just that good.
